Here, the chef Matthias Ziefle cooks himself and makes sure that ready-made products do not end up on the table. Do-it-yourself cooking and the use of high-quality products are the focus here. Many ingredients come directly from our own farm.

With us you eat beef from our own production
As part of the mother-cow husbandry, our cows are neither milked nor cow and calf separated immediately after birth, as is usually the case. Each cow nurses her calf for 10 to 11 months. Throughout the year, our calves have the opportunity to graze with their mothers and the herd, or to eat the farm’s own feed, such as hay and silage, in the barn.
This rearing method ensures undisturbed development of the calves. In contrast to intensive cattle fattening, the animals grow more slowly due to the grazing and the associated movement, but thus provide meat of a very special quality. Since May 19, 2015, we are therefore entitled to carry the classification two out of three possible lions based on the “Taste the South” quality standards.

Monday to Saturday our à la carte restaurant is open from 5:30 pm each day.
On Sundays and holidays the restaurant is open from 12.00 to 14.00 and from 17.30 to 21.00.
Parties and celebrations
The Schwanen offers rooms for parties and events with up to 150 people.
Whether birthday, conference, confirmation, anniversary, family celebration, Christmas party and others. We have the suitable rooms and offer good food in a varied environment. We will be happy to help you with the planning of “your” celebration and to assist you with words and deeds.
We would like to offer you and your guests an absolutely harmonious and pleasant stay with us at the Schwanen. Our kitchen crew will create delicious menus and buffets for you. With our menu and buffet suggestions we would like to show you some possibilities. Of course, it is also possible to “conjure up” a menu individually according to your wishes.
In August 2014, the farm’s cowshed burned down completely due to a technical defect. After the initial shock, the Ziefle family quickly realized that they now had a unique opportunity to realize a new project: the idea of “Schwanenwirts Kuhstall” was born.
The idea was to create a restaurant experience that would be unique in the region. Stop in, enjoy, spend some leisurely hours and watch the lively bustle of the cattle and calves in the adjacent stable. Large panoramic windows open up a view of the modern free-range barn and promise interesting discoveries about the life and behavior of the animals. Depending on the time of day, viewers will witness ever-changing processes, be it the feeding of the cattle, the mucking out, the calves’ playful games and maybe even the birth of a calf once in a while.
The catering area provides the perfect setting. In the basement and on the wide gallery, comfortable seating groups invite you to linger. The building was constructed mainly from local silver fir and will certainly remind one or the other visitor of the good old barns of days gone by. In the Schwanenwirt’s cowshed, modernity and history are combined in a very special way. Large-format paintings, decorative lamps with animal motifs and rural accessories make the stay a unique experience. On sunny days, warm sunlight falls through high windows, so that the interior always shines in a new light. On cool days or long winter nights, a rustic cast-iron wood stove exudes cozy warmth.
In the basement there are toilets, which are barrier-free and suitable for wheelchair users. The stairway to the gallery is conditionally accessible for people with walking difficulties via a wide staircase.to the menu

The Schwanenwirts Kuhstall is ideal for birthday parties in a casual setting, club and company events or bus tours for all ages. Reservations for celebrations are possible from 25 persons.
